My life is a little upside down right now.

Dear Mom and Dad,

Oh meine Güte, I do not know where to start. This week has been CRAZY.

Tuesday, we finally met with X!! She's doing really well. We tried to commit her to a baptismal date, and she shied a lot away from it, but agreed to pray about August 30th. That's more commitment than she has shown ever. She said the closing prayer, and it was so sweet. :)

Wednesday was a funny day, but we accomplished a lot of things! :) We went to the Schattels' first. The idea was to help spiritually prepare M for Bishop, who would invite him to be baptized. Well.....M didn't want to be dabei, so we kind of just had the lesson with J. I was being really awkward and trying too hard, and Sister Arnold jumped in, and in nearly perfect German, completely smoothed the entire appointment and lesson over. SO GOOD. Totally unplanned. I am SO PROUD of her. Her German has gotten a TON better in the last three months. :)

We helped the Wellses clean (they're moving back to Utah this coming Thursday), then we went to the Grills’ and had a good lesson with them. :) It was so good.

And to top it off, Sister Arnold's TWO packages came! One that she's been waiting for for a while (beginning of June), and we also picked up the one in Zuffenhausen. :)

Thursday, we worked at Schwäbische Tafel, then went to J and S's. That was SO GOOD. We haven't been there for a while. We went and helped the Gs a little bit, then studied a bit and went down to S. S's on a trip right now for two weeks in Puerto Rico with her kids. We were going to set a baptismal date with her!

Thursday was my one year in the field mark. Weird.

Friday, I have detailed the transfers saga already. We also went to MA, which was SO GOOD. It POURED while we were down there. Then, within minutes, it had cleared up. I thought Utah weather was weird........try Germany...... :) We also met with M, a referral. She's really cool. The lesson was a little funny, and definitely could have gone better on our part, but we set a baptismal date for the 6th of September. :)

We visited a potential that the International Elders gave to us. Her name is Frau M. :D I love it. She's a bit older, and is very happy being Catholic, but she is open to talk about our religion. Her "Besuch" tried to push us out the door---literally. But I turned to Frau M and just talked with her and was kind of bold in ignoring the other woman, but it meant we got an appointment set up with her. She was really nice. :)

That night was Noche Latina (ward party), which was quite fun. :)

Saturday didn't work out the way we thought. We were going to go to Js' baptism with X, but then she had just barely awakened up right when it started. :P (She likes to sleep.....sigh....) So we told her to come as quickly as she could.....but she didn't come. We were going to go draw the Plan of Salvation with chalk up at Killesberg park, but then it rained. And we went by on Frau Mz, but we think she might have been asleep. Sigh. So we went home and did weekly planning.

Sunday, we got to sit in when R was ordained a priest and received the Aaronic priesthood. That was really cool. Incredible.

After church, we went over to the Gs with the G2s and that was so, so, so good. I love them a whole lot.

Today, we went to Ritter Sport! :) Hehehehe. Lots and lots of chocolate.......maybe too much. But, YOMO. (You only mission once.......or you're only in Stuttgart once, probably.) Hahaha. And afterwards, we went to Taco Bell (on base!), then came and emailed. :)

So there you go. We're alive. :) I'll tell Vanna if anything else changes between now and Thursday, so that you know.

I love you a whole lot. Thanks for being incredible. You are a huge support to me. :)

Love, love, love,
Sister Elizabeth Jill Winters
