Okay, I'm done with the hashtags. For now. ;) This is basically an overview of the week.

OH man so much happened this week. The biggest thing that is happening here is that R is getting baptized on Saturday!!! We saw him almost every single day last week. We were with him at the Fs on Monday to start the Stop Smoking Program. That was so good. He was so excited. The reason why he didn't come to church last week was so that he could have a clear head and think through things as clearly as possible, which makes sense. And he came to the conclusion that he really does and he WOULD be baptized on the 12th!!! So. We started the stop smoking program. Again, he was so excited. He stomped on those cigarettes. Hahahaha, I wish I'd gotten pictures of him doing that. It was so good. :D Oh, man.
Tuesday, he came to this big birthday dinner that we had.
Wednesday, we met with the Ks and him. They're wonderful. We talked about tithing and fasting and the 10 commandments. SO GOOD.
Thursday was the best, though. We talked with him about genealogy and temple work and about Ewige Ehe. Eternal marriage. #eternalfamiliesaremyfavorite. The Church is having missionaries start teaching lesson 5 before baptism, and we're apparently one of the first missions to try it out. So that was where that came from. It was so good. And he's way excited to go to the temple. I love, love, love, love this. We talked about it in context of the Plan of Salvation. BAH talking and teaching and learning about it just makes me SO EXCITED. Is that normal? I'm at least not the only one.......Sister Arnold gets really excited, too. :)
Friday, we met with him and talked about the Priesthood (that was interesting), teaching and learning, service and missionary work. All wrapped into one. It was really interesting to each Priesthood. There was a LOT of information and things he needed to know and understand. Whew. But I was really grateful for the experience.
Sunday he came to church and had his baptismal interview, and did just fine. (I felt like he had to pass a test or something. When he came out and said, "Alles klar," I was SO HAPPY. Unbelievably so.
So. He's getting baptized on Saturday!!! Pray, pray, pray for him! Thank you for praying already. It means SO MUCH. There are a LOT of people praying for him. Thank you so much.
Here's what else happened this week:
-We made Zopf. It's Swiss bread. And I walked onto the Bahn carrying it, sat down next to a woman, who was just looking at me and my bread. I said, "I made bread today!" And the woman said, "Yes, you made Zopf!" I stimmt zu. She said, "Only Swiss people make Zopf like that. I'm Swiss, so I would know." It was way cool. I told her my friend from Switzerland (Elder Escher) taught us today for the first time how to make it. She was really excited. :) And the bread is DELICIOUS.

-Friday was obviously the Fourth of July. So we wore red, white and blue, made red, white, and blue cookies, drank cream soda (from the international members), did weekly planning, taught R, and then went down to base (I guess there are about four bases in our area), where there was a HUGE 4th of July party. (Of course. Not surprising.) It was lots of fun.
Our fun Stuttgart district: Elders Yeoman, Nielson, Talbert, Escher, and us two on the American military base on July 4th.
Funny story of the day. We were wearing red, white, and blue, right? I was wearing dark blue, and she was wearing a cobalt blue, bright blue cardigan. Anyways. Come about 17 Uhr, we were riding the Bahn into the Stadt, and all of these people get on wearing German soccer jerseys. Obviously, there must be a game. So I asked a woman who was playing, and she told me Germany was playing against FRANCE................. Sister Arnold was sitting in the middle of a large group of teenage guys and got some bad looks. Even in Bahnhof I watched it. We"re just trying to be patriotic, I promise!! :)
These are the wrong clothes to be wearing on a German bus on the day that Germany plays France in the World Cup.
-Saturday was fun and long. We got to go and meet the Kohlers. They are WONDERFUL. Very real. And full of love. I am SO EXCITED. I love them so much. So so so so much. We were having a mini Zone Training Meeting while President Kohler interviewed companionships.

There has been a lot of focus on accountability and consecration. And the cool thing is, a lot of our studies have been focused around that. That was what started our miracle transfer. I've learned a whole ton and especially from Sister Arnold about it. Sister Arnold is incredible. She understands so much of that. And helps me a TON.
I had a really cool conversation with a woman on the train. She was really open and in the course of conversation, I gave her a Book of Mormon. It was so cool. I love things like that. Then, on the next train, she just came and sat with us. And there was another older lady who sat across from us. And we had a really good conversation with her, the four of us. It was so fun. I loved it.
And then, to top it off, there was a huge storm. Lots of lightning and thunder and rain. I love it.
The work is good. It goes forward. We love it here. And I really love you a lot! Thank you for everything you do for me.
